The supporters of MAFFIAN booed when 卡納里尼奧 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind 卡納里尼奧 FC's goalkeeper João Vítor Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Vítor Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Jim Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Kjell-Arne Hultman managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when 卡納里尼奧 FC's Laerte Marquez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save MAFFIAN from getting a goal against them. Kjell-Arne Hultman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jean-Claude Van Damme to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Agostinho Guedes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kjell-Arne Hultman was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After some careless play in the MAFFIAN defense, Agostinho Guedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell-Arne Hultman. The MAFFIAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell-Arne Hultman should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Agostinho Guedes sped through MAFFIAN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kjell-Arne Hultman. Kjell-Arne Hultman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Damasceno, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Kjell-Arne Hultman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agostinho Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Marquez came free, but Kjell-Arne Hultman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laerte Marquez in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind 卡納里尼奧 FC's goalkeeper João Vítor Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Vítor Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Widberg in the 76th minute of the match. Kjell-Arne Hultman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Marquez in the 90th minute of play. Mark Widberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Vítor Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Widberg in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th match minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Marquez to maneuver through the defense. MAFFIAN's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
