If Roegelio Moyua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Monte Hermoso Beach made a substitution. In the 93rd minute Maximo Lico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frasco Esquivel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in AFC United's zone, Marco Bixintxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frasco Esquivel came out of the goal and Marco Bixintxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Monte Hermoso Beach supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AFC United's performance. The match ended with a win for AFC United.
