An unexpectedly hard shot by Olliver Todman in the 43rd minute of play forced Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Lino Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradley Obree kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Alijilán returns players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Australian Youth Academy were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvano Baleren to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Alijilán returns's Justino Monico got a free kick in the 51st minute. Silvano Baleren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Constantino Bemabe's late challenge caught a Australian Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantino Bemabe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Alijilán returns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Bemabe to maneuver through the defense. Ramón Abila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Cochrane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 89th minute, Justino Monico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lino Naelio was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Olliver Todman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Olliver Todman really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. When the match was over Australian Youth Academy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alijilán returns throughout the match.
