Eriberto Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Geofredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C. A. Potrero's Serafino Geofredo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pablo Acevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredinho Martins in the 25th minute. Santo Beat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of C. A. Potrero booed when Bebela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Custódio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredinho Martins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Pablo Acevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 41 minutes into the game, Bernardo Maule was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Potrero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bebela the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Aírton Simão fired a really elegant long shot, but Pablo Acevedo threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Pablo Acevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredinho Martins in the 46th minute.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafino Geofredo in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Azevedo saved Bebela from getting behind. Vágner Schmidt hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. When C. A. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eriberto Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C. A. Potrero were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Bebela's much stronger midfield.
