Froilan Reyes started the match with the kick off. Gumersindo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Erserman in the 12th minute of play. Salvador Mateluna made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Rickard Erserman. After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Chillán's zone, Froilan Reyes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Björnberg came out of the goal and Froilan Reyes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bebeto Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the game, Alfonso Sotta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gumersindo Moreira. Alfonso Sotta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to Boomer Fc getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bebeto Gaúcho hit a great ball. Froilan Reyes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anton Björnberg having to make a save. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 played minutes Boomer Fc got a freekick which was hit by Lester Villavicencio. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Vatan Enfal replaced Rickard Erserman. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when Boomer Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lester Villavicencio didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vatan Enfal was the one to do the kick off. Gumersindo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vatan Enfal in the 51st minute of the match. Vatan Enfal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gumersindo Moreira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Anton Björnberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Froilan Reyes went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Chillán from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Reyes got free with Anton Björnberg in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Froilan Reyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Anton Björnberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boomer Fc's Gumersindo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Jax in the 72nd minute of play. Gumersindo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Jax in the 72nd minute of the match. If Vatan Enfal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Marco Boniel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anton Björnberg. The goal made the score 1-2. Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo was substituted for Samuel Abel. Anton Björnberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tito Quintas in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Boniel in the 85th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Eladio Araujo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gumersindo Moreira. Boomer Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eladio Araujo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
