Froilan Reyes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romulo Viator read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Richard Parker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romulo Viator was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Su Shu Zhen got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st match minute, OTTO FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. Bebeto Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romulo Viator. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The tension between the OTTO FC - FSCMZ and the Boomer Fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Gumersindo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
