Krzysztof Galagan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donzel Goyeneta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Krzysztof Galagan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jelte Bleiswijk in the 28th minute of play. Rodolfo Gerber took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thanasis Koltsidas. Thanasis Koltsidas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jelte Bleiswijk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, AEK S.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstantinos Kouventolakis to maneuver through the defense. Thanasis Koltsidas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's corner Horacio Nuñez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thanasis Koltsidas quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of AEK S.C booed when λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Nuñez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. 毛俊亦 hit a great ball. Krzysztof Galagan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelte Bleiswijk in the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

It was beautiful to see AEK S.C's Alfaro Meo in action when he in the 55th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind AEK S.C's goalkeeper Thanasis Koltsidas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 67th minute of the match, Jelte Bleiswijk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Krzysztof Galagan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 68thth minute of the game Jelte Bleiswijk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Krzysztof Galagan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR were awarded a corner. Bresal McPhil went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Bresal McPhil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thanasis Koltsidas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 76 minutes into the match, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's goal looked a bit too open when Donzel Goyeneta came free, but Krzysztof Galagan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Krzysztof Galagan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donzel Goyeneta in the 76th minute of play. In the 88th minute, one of AEK S.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AEK S.C. Thanasis Koltsidas had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Abelardo Koehler's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jelte Bleiswijk in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Jelte Bleiswijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krzysztof Galagan having to interfere. When Abelardo Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Koehler couldn't finish the play. AEK S.C's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR had won, even though AEK S.C had held more of the ball.
