In the 5th minute, Paranhos Ariranha FC's Renato Bezerra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Renato Bezerra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paranhos Ariranha FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Renato Bezerra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paranhos Ariranha FC! Radul Kokalov shot the penalty kick right outside the post. A sloppy throw-in by Anísio Duarte in the 9th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Abelardo Veloso. 11 minutes into the match, Paranhos Ariranha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Dolar came free, but Gaspar Gilesindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Dale Dolar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barcellos Mineiro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Dale Dolar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaspar Gilesindo. Paranhos Ariranha FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Dolar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gaspar Gilesindo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dale Dolar went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute, João Francisco Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Paranhos Ariranha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dale Dolar to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Dale Dolar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gaspar Gilesindo. That made the score 0-4 in the 53 minute of play. Gaspar Gilesindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 60th minute of play. Gaspar Gilesindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Dolar in the 60th minute of the match. Dale Dolar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaspar Gilesindo came out and tried to block the shot, but Dale Dolar slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Amerigo Gervasi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Gilesindo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Patricio Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Mattos in the 78th minute of play. Gaspar Gilesindo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dale Dolar in the 79th minute. If Dale Dolar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Paranhos Ariranha FC's zone, Jorge Carrascal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Gilesindo came out of the goal and Jorge Carrascal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Gervasi in the 86th minute of play forced Paranhos Ariranha FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Gilesindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Paranhos Ariranha FC's Gaspar Gilesindo got control of the ball when Jorge Carrascal tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gaspar Gilesindo threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Carrascal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Paranhos Ariranha FC's Cristóvão Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Pieter-Maarten Specht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
