The corner was taken by Bebeto Gaúcho in the 13th minute. The corner ended in Bebeto Gaúcho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas did a great save. Sakis Tavlaridis kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. AEK S.C's Thanasis Koltsidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Boniel in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Marco Boniel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boomer Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Boniel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thanasis Koltsidas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Boniel to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Boomer Fc's Marco Boniel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2.
