Betão Pontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Haedelt's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Haedelt. Dominik Brysz was slow to take the kick. During this time GKS Katowice's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Hugo Haedelt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aleksotas FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Haedelt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Rytis Lazdauskas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betão Pontes was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 53 minutes into the match, Aleksotas FK's goal looked a bit too open when Lucjan Werra came free, but A.J. 杜义俊 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betão Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th match minute, Aleksotas FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilmantas Norutis to maneuver through the defense. Vilmantas Norutis scored 3-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Betão Pontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Aleksotas FK booed when GKS Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezary Kasiewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betão Pontes came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Aleksotas FK's Rytis Lazdauskas. But to his dismay, Rytis Lazdauskas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. GKS Katowice's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
