After 5 minutes Yara Poland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adolphe De Maerschalckx who took care of the corner kick. Andries Mangelschot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Bartosz Komanski made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Felix Fanøe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanny Van Wontergem. YR Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Fanøe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Stanny Van Wontergem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Fanøe in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Kaczynski in the 25th minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Stanny Van Wontergem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanny Van Wontergem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaroslaw Kaczynski went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when John Carew came free, but Stanny Van Wontergem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ziemowit Borcz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. YR Mechelen's Stanny Van Wontergem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Fanøe in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ziemowit Borcz in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanny Van Wontergem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 played minutes, YR Mechelen's Adolphe De Maerschalckx shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bartosz Komanski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in YR Mechelen reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zula Smuskiewicz during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Ziemowit Borcz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yara Poland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ziemowit Borcz to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Ziemowit Borcz came free, but Stanny Van Wontergem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Fanøe struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Stanny Van Wontergem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yara Poland. Jamie Van Mechelen kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Yara Poland's Edward Szpakowski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Stanny Van Wontergem made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Felix Fanøe sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the game, Felix Fanøe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Stanny Van Wontergem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stanny Van Wontergem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Fanøe went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Felix Fanøe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Stanny Van Wontergem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Fanøes short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Stanny Van Wontergem to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 83rd minute, Yara Poland's Jaroslaw Kaczynski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stanny Van Wontergem. Stanny Van Wontergem yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Stanny Van Wontergem didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 89th minute, which inside left pole to 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andries Mangelschot in the 94th minute of play forced Yara Poland's goalkeeper Bartosz Komanski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Fanøe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stanny Van Wontergem firmly grabbed it by the left post. Yara Poland's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
