The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ludomir Zacharek took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Kaczynski came free, but Betão Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartosz Komanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezary Kasiewski in the 4th minute of play. Edward Szpakowski hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Kasiewski in the 6th minute of play forced Yara Poland's goalkeeper Bartosz Komanski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Carew. When Ziemowit Borcz came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Yara Poland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ziemowit Borcz couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, Jaroslaw Kaczynski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Betão Pontes. The goal made the score 1-0. Ziemowit Borcz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Betão Pontes 14 minutes into the match. Betão Pontes had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaroslaw Kaczynski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Felix Fanøe in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Betão Pontes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 25th minute, Yara Poland's Jaroslaw Kaczynski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ziemowit Borcz in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão Pontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Betão Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ziemowit Borcz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edward Szpakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Kaczynski in the 34th minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when John Carew came free, but Betão Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Szpakowski in the 38th minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Betão Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Fanøe in the 41st minute. Felix Fanøe took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 46th match minute, Yara Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Carew to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ziemowit Borcz to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Carew in the 53rd minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Ziemowit Borcz notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, GKS Katowice's Lucjan Werra got a free kick in the 58th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Ziemowit Borcz notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cezary Kasiewski charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cezary Kasiewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Yara Poland booed when GKS Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezary Kasiewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betão Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Szpakowski in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th minute Jaroslaw Kaczynski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when John Carew came free, but Betão Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Betão Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziemowit Borcz in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute John Carew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yara Poland were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after GKS Katowice's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaroslaw Kaczynski took the corner. After 75 minutes, Wincenty Skrzypek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yara Poland and the GKS Katowice players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Wincenty Skrzypek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucjan Werra got free with Bartosz Komanski in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. GKS Katowice were awarded a corner in the 77th minute after Yara Poland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dominik Brysz took the corner. After taking down the ball on GKS Katowice's corner Dominik Brysz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bartosz Komanski quite easily take care of the ball. 80 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Ziemowit Borcz came free, but Betão Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Lucjan Werra in the 81st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Lucjan Werra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, John Carew notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 87 minutes into the match, Felix Fanøe notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes. Betão Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The throw-in from Wincenty Skrzypek in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GKS Katowice's Konrad Komanski. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, John Carew managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yara Poland's supporters rose to their feet, but John Carew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Betão Pontes came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Yara Poland's Jaroslaw Kaczynski. But to his dismay, Jaroslaw Kaczynski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. After 98 minutes of play, Yara Poland's Felix Fanøe made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Betão Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Yara Poland players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
