John Crabtree really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Tango en Miami FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Seco came free, but Graig Davenport reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute, José Paulo Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the game, Guará FC's Ivo Figueiredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Graig Davenport made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Rômulo de Sena struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Graig Davenport didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guará FC. After a rather tough play, Tango en Miami FC's Carson McCann got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enéas Seco in the 30th minute of play forced Tango en Miami FC's goalkeeper Graig Davenport to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Tango en Miami FC fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Tango en Miami FC's Alberto Norman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustave Martinot couldn't finish the play. Alberto Norman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Motta having to interfere. Graham Kearney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute John Crabtree shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guará FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jack Shaw was slow to take the kick. During this time Tango en Miami FC's players had a chance to rest. Jack Shaw made a great header on Tango en Miami FC's corner, it was just that Guará FC's Emílio Motta managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Rômulo de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guará FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rômulo de Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Graig Davenport breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Jack Shaw had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 75 minutes, Ivo Figueiredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guará FC and the Tango en Miami FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Graig Davenport successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 95th minute, Francisco Temple hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Ivo Figueiredo in the 96th minute really tested Graig Davenport's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guará FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tango en Miami FC.
