Cevat İmamoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Ahlroht, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Max Mohammad in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cevat İmamoğlu saved EĞİRDİR SK from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Max Mohammad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cevat İmamoğlu was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Max Mohammad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cevat İmamoğlu having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Lars Olofsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Newcastle United FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
