The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 20th match minute, Las Momias F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Soter to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Walter Sanvicente successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edwin Sjöberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Walter Sanvicente made a huge save. In the 27th minute, Jesus Tabby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 minutes, Jan Björnberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Onsala Ass Kickers and the Las Momias F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Las Momias F. C. made a substitution. Leopoldo Formerio replaced Blas Lidon. In the 30th match minute, Onsala Ass Kickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Björnberg to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Las Momias F. C. getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Saverio Rodas hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edwin Sjöberg in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Sanvicente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Filip Valler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Onsala Ass Kickers's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Valler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walter Sanvicente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan Björnberg kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filip Valler to make the kick off. Angelo Aimar hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Walter Sanvicente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Aldo Chaime kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thomas Hägglund. That made the score 0-2 in the 55 minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Onsala Ass Kickers's Edwin Sjöberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Sanvicente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Edwin Sjöberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walter Sanvicente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Sjöberg in the 61st minute of the match. Fernando Soter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomas Hägglund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aldo Chaime in the 79th minute. Las Momias F. C. were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Onsala Ass Kickers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baldomiro Gorri took the corner. Las Momias F. C.'s Baldomiro Gorri was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thomas Hägglund in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 82 minutes, Edwin Sjöberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Onsala Ass Kickers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Sjöberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 played minutes Onsala Ass Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Sjöberg. 94 minutes into the match, Onsala Ass Kickers's goalkeeper Thomas Hägglund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesus Tabby. 95 minutes into the match, Las Momias F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Filip Valler came free, but Walter Sanvicente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Sjöberg in the 96th minute of play forced Las Momias F. C.'s goalkeeper Walter Sanvicente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
