After 6 played minutes Alfonso Urko scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Sébastien Marionneau who was too lazy, 1-0. Sébastien Marionneau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Martxelin in the 10th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gelp 22's Alberto Martxelin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sébastien Marionneau. That made the score 2-0 after 10 minutes of play. In the 13th minute Alfonso Urko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sébastien Marionneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kacper Zbydniowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cesar Criston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sébastien Marionneau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Martxelin in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the game, Kacper Zbydniowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astral Roots Gdynia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gelp 22 the free kick. If Alberto Martxelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Urko to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Jonas Ticho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sébastien Marionneau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kacper Zbydniowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Criston having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Gelp 22 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Firme to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Astral Roots Gdynia getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Kacper Zbydniowski hit a great ball. In the 71st match minute, Astral Roots Gdynia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylwester Hajduk to maneuver through the defense. Sébastien Marionneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Urko in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Astral Roots Gdynia's Sylwester Hajduk got a free kick in the 82nd minute. If Alfonso Urko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Martxelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sébastien Marionneau having to interfere. Astral Roots Gdynia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
