When Alonzo Firme came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Gelp 22 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonzo Firme couldn't finish the play. Anderson Fonseca hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Gelp 22's German Brun got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If German Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Gelp 22's goalkeeper Zacarias Laffitte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noel Ortiz. MelissaMel's Carlinhos Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Muc in the 23rd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Augusto Valery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MelissaMel and the Gelp 22 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes MelissaMel got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Valery. 25 minutes into the match, MelissaMel's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Muc came free, but Carlinhos Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gelp 22's Eliseo Natanael got a free kick in the 26th minute. A hard shot by Valério de Azevedo from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Zacarias Laffitte's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 29 minutes into the game, Dagoberto Albuquerque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MelissaMel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gelp 22 the free kick. Dagoberto Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Ruy Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MelissaMel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruy Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guto Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. If German Brun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. MelissaMel's Carlinhos Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Brun in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gelp 22's zone, Clemente Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Laffitte came out of the goal and Clemente Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of MelissaMel booed when Gelp 22 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Brun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlinhos Pinho came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Gelp 22's German Brun. But to his dismay, German Brun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for German Brun to strike the kick off in the second half. Gelp 22 were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after MelissaMel's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. German Brun took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Bartolo Paez got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-2. 72 minutes into the match. Carlinhos Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Muc in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Clemente Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Zacarias Laffitte. Gelp 22's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Zacarias Laffitte came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by MelissaMel's Clemente Montenegro. But to his dismay, Clemente Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 86th minute, Clemente Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, MelissaMel's goal looked a bit too open when German Brun came free, but Carlinhos Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Gelp 22's German Brun broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. MelissaMel were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gelp 22 for a fine match.
