The audience was convinced that Ruy Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sébastien Marionneau was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After 13 played minutes MelissaMel got a freekick which was hit by Valério de Azevedo. Carlinhos Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Ciupierdo in the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kacper Zbydniowski got free with Carlinhos Pinho in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 20 minutes MelissaMel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kacper Zbydniowski who took care of the corner kick. Astral Roots Gdynia's Kacper Zbydniowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlinhos Pinho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gilbert Oliszewski hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Schmidt in the 27th minute of play forced Astral Roots Gdynia's goalkeeper Sébastien Marionneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, MelissaMel's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Jarosz came free, but Carlinhos Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Arkadiusz Jarosz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlinhos Pinho. The goal made the score 1-0. When Raí Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the MelissaMel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí Schmidt couldn't finish the play. In the 36th match minute, Astral Roots Gdynia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Jarosz to maneuver through the defense. Sébastien Marionneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Kacper Zbydniowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ruy Lara made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Ruy Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sébastien Marionneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Astral Roots Gdynia got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiusz Jarosz. In the 59th minute Raí Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sébastien Marionneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Raí Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sylwester Hajduk charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sylwester Hajduk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Astral Roots Gdynia got a freekick which was hit by Sylwester Hajduk. Astral Roots Gdynia's Marian Ciupierdo got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in MelissaMel's zone, Kacper Zbydniowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlinhos Pinho came out of the goal and Kacper Zbydniowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astral Roots Gdynia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kacper Zbydniowski in the 87th minute. After taking down the ball on Astral Roots Gdynia's corner Gilbert Oliszewski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlinhos Pinho quite easily take care of the ball. In the 88th minute Kacper Zbydniowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sylwester Hajduk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raí Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sébastien Marionneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astral Roots Gdynia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
