In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind SteffosPojkar FF's goalkeeper Hubert Ahlfors, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Victor Santxol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hubert Ahlfors. SteffosPojkar FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Santxol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Surahammar were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after SteffosPojkar FF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victor Santxol took the corner. In the 23rd minute of the match Carl Di Canio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Lindström skillfully saved the ball. In the 25th minute, Victor Santxol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Surahammar's Victor Santxol got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute of the match Victor Santxol shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hubert Ahlfors showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Santxol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Apa Banana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Victor Santxol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Surahammar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Mats Kristiansson got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Philip Molander. Hubert Ahlfors was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but André Pettersson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 67 minute of play. Hubert Ahlfors made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radamel Oakley in the 74th minute of play. When André Pettersson came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Surahammar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Pettersson couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, SteffosPojkar FF's Hubert Ahlfors got control of the ball when André Pettersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. SteffosPojkar FF's Hubert Ahlfors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radamel Oakley in the 91st minute of play. Hubert Ahlfors made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when André Pettersson sent off a good shot on target. Surahammar's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
