With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel got control of the ball when Dennis Man tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by German Cano in the 11th minute of play forced GG Team FC's goalkeeper Fabrizio Marconi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GG Team FC's Fabrizio Marconi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Martins in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Dennis Man notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Marconi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dida Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amedeo Alfani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Taffarel having to interfere. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Man in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Gaston Gonzalez got a free kick in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Martins to strike the kick off in the second half. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Alfani in the 53rd minute of the match. Dida Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Man went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Dennis Man sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Man, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Grøneng to maneuver through the defense. Dida Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Man, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GG Team FC's Fabrizio Marconi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Martins in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dorian Moraes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabrizio Marconi was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. When Dennis Man came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the GG Team FC fans jumped to their feet.
