The audience was convinced that Corneliu Dridu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hong Qing was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Hong Qing didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Corneliu Dridu went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Dr Lecter SC's Válbson Batista quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 45 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Ponce came free, but Celso Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Club Atlético Lea Papá made a substitution. Aldo-Pedro Poy replaced Anton Donose. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corneliu Dridu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Hong Qing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 52nd minute of play. In the 68th minute, Dr Lecter SC's Válbson Batista seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Válbson Batista the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dr Lecter SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Válbson Batista had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dr Lecter SC! When Pablo Sánchez came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Club Atlético Lea Papá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Sánchez couldn't finish the play. Mauro Romero made a great header on Dr Lecter SC's corner, it was just that Club Atlético Lea Papá's Hong Qing managed to reach the ball for a save. Hong Qing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Dr Lecter SC's Wes Vranx was substituted for Dieguinho de Medeiros. In the 86th match minute, Dr Lecter SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieguinho de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Hong Qing came out and tried to block the shot, but Wanderson Fernandez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 95th minute.
