Bartjan Parmentier started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, KFC Paal-Tervant's Reinaud De Schutter got control of the ball when Juvenal Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reinaud De Schutter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomás Custódio in the 6th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Flying Dutch's Thomás Custódio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reinaud De Schutter. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilian Weynants in the 11th minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Arthur Albuquerque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Flying Dutch defense, Bartjan Parmentier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arthur Albuquerque. The Flying Dutch fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arthur Albuquerque should have stopped the shot. When Mário Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flying Dutch's protests and gave Mário Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Mário Lopes. In the 16th minute of the match Luka Dams sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arthur Albuquerque skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Quadros in the 25th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Reinaud De Schutter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Paal-Tervant's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Claudinho Quadros scored to the left of an out of position Reinaud De Schutter, making the score, 2-1. In the 33rd minute, Bartjan Parmentier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Paal-Tervant fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Flying Dutch's Arthur Albuquerque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartjan Parmentier in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to KFC Paal-Tervant getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. David Laureijs hit a great ball. In the 44th match minute, Flying Dutch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Lopes to maneuver through the defense. In the 48thth minute of the game Claudinho Quadros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Paal-Tervant's Reinaud De Schutter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinho Quadros to strike the kick off in the second half. Arthur Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartjan Parmentier in the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, Flying Dutch's Arthur Albuquerque got control of the ball when Bartjan Parmentier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reinaud De Schutter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilian Weynants got free with Arthur Albuquerque in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, KFC Paal-Tervant's Andris Ceroux got a free kick in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Luka Dams cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Arthur Albuquerque was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st match minute, Flying Dutch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Messias to maneuver through the defense. Yan Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaud De Schutter having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Luka Dams reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arthur Albuquerque. The goal made the score 2-4. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Flying Dutch lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
