But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Davus couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Davus was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the KFC Paal-Tervant defense, Claudio Caniglia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Freddy Tilens. The KFC Paal-Tervant fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Freddy Tilens should have stopped the shot. After 53 played minutes Janusze Futbolu got a freekick which was hit by Çağdaş Quaresma. Freddy Tilens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniglia in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Caniglia in the 60th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Freddy Tilens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudio Caniglia took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Freddy Tilens. Freddy Tilens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Janusze Futbolu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Axel Davus scored to the left of an out of position Peter-Michael Schmeichel, making the score, 2-1. The supporters of Janusze Futbolu booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klemens Huffschmid didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute of the match Danny Carey sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Freddy Tilens skillfully saved the ball. After 80 minutes of play, Janusze Futbolu's Claudio Caniglia made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddy Tilens was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goal looked a bit too open when Çağdaş Quaresma came free, but Freddy Tilens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy Tilens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniglia in the 85th minute of play. Peter-Michael Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yücel Yamaç in the 90th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Janusze Futbolu fans cheered their team off the field, for while KFC Paal-Tervant had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
