The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Axel Davus managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Paal-Tervant's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Davus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Kugler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Martins in the 11th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Freddy Tilens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KFC Paal-Tervant booed when GTV Ostsee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Popper didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Davus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18thth minute of the game Axel Davus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GTV Ostsee's Karl Kugler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, GTV Ostsee's Albrecht Bohnacker got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 26 minutes, Júlio Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GTV Ostsee and the KFC Paal-Tervant players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, GTV Ostsee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Martins to maneuver through the defense. Karl Kugler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Davus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the GTV Ostsee defense, Axel Davus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Kugler. The GTV Ostsee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Kugler should have stopped the shot. Axel Davus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Kugler having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Axel Davus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Kugler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the GTV Ostsee defense, Axel Davus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Kugler. The GTV Ostsee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Kugler should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Emmel to strike the kick off in the second half. Axel Davus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl Kugler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Shaun McLae heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Karl Kugler made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Axel Davus sent off a good shot on target. When KFC Paal-Tervant's Axel Davus in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GTV Ostsee's goalie prevented a goal. Karl Kugler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Paal-Tervant. In the 80th minute, Yücel Yamaç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th match minute, GTV Ostsee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Martins to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of GTV Ostsee booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Davus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddy Tilens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Håning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Axel Davus recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Karl Kugler. Axel Davus showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. The GTV Ostsee fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. KFC Paal-Tervant were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
