But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivica Lufen couldn't finish the play. Kacper Chlapowski's late challenge caught a Hamburg City Vampires's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kacper Chlapowski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute of the match Ivica Lufen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jan Andrzejewski skillfully saved the ball. In the 19th minute, Reinhard Borkmann reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jan Andrzejewski. The goal made the score 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Zgierskie Zlewy's goal looked a bit too open when Reinhard Borkmann came free, but Jan Andrzejewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Jan Andrzejewski managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Hamburg City Vampires's Fred Mendonça fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the match, Fred Mendonça notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Zgierskie Zlewy's Jan Andrzejewski. Jan Andrzejewski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29thth minute of the game Fred Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zgierskie Zlewy's Jan Andrzejewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Fred Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan Andrzejewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinhard Borkmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Andrzejewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fred Mendonça went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Zgierskie Zlewy's Jan Andrzejewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinhard Borkmann in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fred Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. Fred Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jan Andrzejewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamburg City Vampires. Jan Andrzejewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Mendonça in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Fred Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Andrzejewski was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After some careless play in the Zgierskie Zlewy defense, Reinhard Borkmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Andrzejewski. The Zgierskie Zlewy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Andrzejewski should have stopped the shot. After 61 minutes of play, Zgierskie Zlewy's Barnaba Bazylnikov made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugeniusz Tyski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fred Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Andrzejewski having to interfere. Jan Andrzejewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fred Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute, Kacper Chlapowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Zgierskie Zlewy booed when Hamburg City Vampires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bianco Lemme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jedrzej Kempski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Lövskog hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hamburg City Vampires fully deserved thier win.
