In the 20th minute, Iosif Gherase hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 minutes Kronan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fausto Pinti who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Eurospeed Asti's Svetlozar Cholakov to fire away a dangerous shot which Vilhelm Brander despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Damiano Battisti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Mikaelsson in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kronan's Ragnar Fridlund got a free kick in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Eurospeed Asti's Elia Pietrantoni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vilhelm Brander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Pinti made a kick off. Grant Irø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonello Tofani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Vilhelm Brander made a huge save. 59 minutes into the match, Eurospeed Asti's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Åke Galle came free, but Damiano Battisti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Per-Åke Galle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damiano Battisti was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Alfons Sjöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Eurospeed Asti booed when Kronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfons Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Bjurström in the 76th minute of play forced Eurospeed Asti's goalkeeper Damiano Battisti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Pinti got free with Vilhelm Brander in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Eurospeed Asti getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Francesco Cirelli hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Elia Pietrantoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Brander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eurospeed Asti's Damiano Battisti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Åke Galle in the 85th minute of play. Kronan's Nils Mikaelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vincent Bjurström hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Tage Vestlund hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Fausto Pinti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eurospeed Asti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Pinti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vincent Bjurström, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 93 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Damiano Battisti was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Kronan's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
