Hermanö Oilers's Ingemar Stålman got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson got control of the ball when Herbert Kjellkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Mikaelsson in the 16th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Orvar Stenquist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vilhelm Brander was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Orvar Stenquist sped through Kronan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vilhelm Brander. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Stålman in the 20th minute of play forced Kronan's goalkeeper Vilhelm Brander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st match minute, Hermanö Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingemar Stålman to maneuver through the defense. Kronan's Vilhelm Brander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Stålman in the 24th minute of play. Vilhelm Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orvar Stenquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, Hermanö Oilers's Sonny Åkesson got control of the ball when Michael Skoog tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th match minute, Kronan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Mikaelsson to maneuver through the defense. Anton Mattsson took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vilhelm Brander. Vilhelm Brander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, Hermanö Oilers's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Mikaelsson came free, but Sonny Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilhelm Brander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Stenquist in the 40th minute of play. After the first half Hermanö Oilers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils Mikaelsson to make the kick off. With a little luck, Kronan's Vilhelm Brander got control of the ball when Orvar Stenquist tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Magnus Strömbom came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Kronan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magnus Strömbom couldn't finish the play. Kronan made a substitution. Vincent Bjurström replaced Ragnar Fridlund. Jan-Erik Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 72ndth minute of the game Orvar Stenquist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kronan's Vilhelm Brander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Kronan booed when Hermanö Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilhelm Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orvar Stenquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 86th minute Nils Mikaelsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Michael Skoog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Hermanö Oilers players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
