In the 5th minute Géza Rákosi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Corderun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Reinhard Borkmann came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Hamburg City Vampires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinhard Borkmann couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute, Waldir Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ivica Lufen came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Hamburg City Vampires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivica Lufen couldn't finish the play. Waldir Urbano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugeniusz Tyski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Tasso FC's Waldir Urbano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugeniusz Tyski was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Tasso FC's Waldir Urbano in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hamburg City Vampires's goalie prevented a goal. Hamburg City Vampires's Roy Lövskog suffered a concussion after 33 minutes and had to leave the field. When Miguel Sequeira fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tasso FC's protests and gave Miguel Sequeira a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hamburg City Vampires booed when Tasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Sequeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Reinhard Borkmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hamburg City Vampires fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Miguel Sequeira struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Eugeniusz Tyski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tasso FC. Hamburg City Vampires's Eugeniusz Tyski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Urbano in the 48th minute of play. Marc Hooiveld lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fred Mendonça to make the kick off. Silverio Corderun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Hamburg City Vampires's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Urbano came free, but Eugeniusz Tyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silverio Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Géza Rákosi in the 69th minute of the match. Waldir Urbano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugeniusz Tyski having to make a save. 71 minutes into the match, Hamburg City Vampires's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Urbano came free, but Eugeniusz Tyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silverio Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Géza Rákosi in the 75th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Tasso FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hamburg City Vampires:s goal. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Hamburg City Vampires. Reinhard Borkmann stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Silverio Corderun. 2-2. Tasso FC's Pinto Valer was substituted for Caio Mendes. Bianco Lemme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silverio Corderun having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Tasso FC's zone, Géza Rákosi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Corderun came out of the goal and Géza Rákosi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Hamburg City Vampires's Reinhard Borkmann got a free kick in the 100th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
