Salud y República's Alvino Galnares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lalo Buenaga in the 5th minute of play. After 8 played minutes AFC United got a freekick which was hit by Charro Pereceira. 12 minutes into the game, Jago Barrientos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salud y República's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC United the free kick. Jago Barrientos kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Salud y República's zone, Teofilo Pardelas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvino Galnares came out of the goal and Teofilo Pardelas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hector-Luis Conllas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Alvino Galnares made a huge save. In the 25th minute Adulfo Teresa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Torrens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charro Pereceira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Nicolao Aguado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 55thth minute of the game Hector-Luis Conllas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salud y República's Alvino Galnares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alvino Galnares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorato Zubillaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lalo Buenaga in the 58th minute of play forced Salud y República's goalkeeper Alvino Galnares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th match minute, Salud y República was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoro Raya to maneuver through the defense. Salud y República's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
