Zero Hedge's attentive Dani Python managed to snatch the ball when Roegelio Moyua made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. A collision led to Zero Hedge getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alfred Österberg hit a great ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Österberg couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, Zero Hedge's goal looked a bit too open when Lalo Buenaga came free, but Jens-Ola Löv reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, AFC United's Hector-Luis Conllas got a free kick in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofilo Pardelas during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes AFC United got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Pardelas. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bertil Åström to make the kick off. The supporters of Zero Hedge booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleder Borrellino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Lalo Buenaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lalo Buenaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
