A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bradley Obree hit a great ball. Ollie Flesfadar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Österberg in the 9th minute of the match. Zero Hedge's Dani Python quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stew Rizzardo, made in the 15th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Österberg came free, but Ollie Flesfadar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Zero Hedge's Alfred Österberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ollie Flesfadar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ollie Flesfadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Bock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Yngve Bock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stew Rizzardo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yngve Bock to make the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Australian Youth Academy! When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, Zero Hedge's Alfred Österberg got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ollie Flesfadar. When Alfred Österberg came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Zero Hedge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Österberg couldn't finish the play. Yngve Bock's late challenge caught a Australian Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yngve Bock helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Yngve Bock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ryan Millard kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Österberg got free with Ollie Flesfadar in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Everett Kiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ola Löv having to interfere. After 93 minutes of play Zero Hedge's Yngve Bock was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when Zero Hedge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yngve Bock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dani Odd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jens-Ola Löv. Zero Hedge's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ollie Flesfadar made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Alfred Österberg sent off a good shot on target. If Antony Cuddihy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Zero Hedge eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
