Alvino Galnares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dennis Casciano's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Ercole Ceresoli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Alvino Galnares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Salud y República's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Corrado Cicchetti was slow to take the kick. During this time CA Boca Jrs's players had a chance to rest. CA Boca Jrs's Corrado Cicchetti was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alvino Galnares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the CA Boca Jrs defense, Adulfo Teresa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuele Guaita. The CA Boca Jrs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuele Guaita should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, Andoitz Talavera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuele Guaita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adulfo Teresa in the 37th minute of the match. If Andoitz Talavera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Adulfo Teresa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuele Guaita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andoitz Talavera was the one to do the kick off. Osoro Raya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Emanuele Guaita made a huge save. Salud y República's Alvino Galnares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Ceresoli in the 55th minute of play. Emanuele Guaita made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Solo in the 58th minute. CA Boca Jrs's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nicolao Aguado 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Salud y República's Adulfo Teresa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emanuele Guaita. That made the score 0-5 after 75 minutes of play. Alvino Galnares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Casciano, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Siro Pascual hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuele Guaita was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Adulfo Teresa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adulfo Teresa really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. After 94 minutes, Andoitz Talavera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salud y República and the CA Boca Jrs players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of CA Boca Jrs booed when Salud y República was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andoitz Talavera didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Salud y República left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CA Boca Jrs.
