The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Javier Echazarreta during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gandolfo Sánchez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gandolfo Sánchez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trond Traband in the 93rd minute.
