Håkan Botvidsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Diniz's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Jailson Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Håkan Botvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Britto in the 11th minute of play. After 14 played minutes IFK Kik got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Myr. 18 minutes into the match, IFK Kik's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Diniz came free, but Håkan Botvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Håkan Botvidsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgílio Diniz went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Eliseu Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Myr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reinaldo Vargas kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Håkan Botvidsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Diniz in the 30th minute of the match. IFK Kik's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Myr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseu Negri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cássio Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Botvidsson having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patrik Myr made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, IFK Kik's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Diniz came free, but Håkan Botvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. IFK Kik's Håkan Botvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Abreu in the 54th minute of play. Jailson Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Håkan Botvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Håkan Botvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Souto in the 57th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Cássio Britto notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of IFK Kik's Håkan Botvidsson. Håkan Botvidsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Håkan Botvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. IFK Kik's Håkan Botvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Diniz in the 72nd minute of play. Max Lövkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 83 minutes of play, New Loser FC's Luís Paulo Nogueira made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Håkan Botvidsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgílio Diniz in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Håkan Botvidsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliseu Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Åkerström in the 94th minute of play. Jailson Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jailson Souto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Jailson Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the IFK Kik players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for New Loser FC.
