The supporters of Salud y República booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Youri Djorkaeff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvino Galnares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmond Kubiak in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Youri Djorkaeff got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 20 minutes into the game, Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvino Galnares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 27 minutes into the match, Agamenón Ruiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moïse Labruyère. Avel Vat's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agamenón Ruiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Adulfo Teresa might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moïse Labruyère. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adulfo Teresa ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Avel Vat getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Marco Nugues hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agamenón Ruiz in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moïse Labruyère prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Avel Vat's goal looked a bit too open when Adulfo Teresa came free, but Moïse Labruyère reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Salud y República booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bilal Moutte didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Edmond Kubiak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alvino Galnares. Edmond Kubiak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. When Sébastien Milliot fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avel Vat's protests and gave Sébastien Milliot a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Sébastien Milliot. Agamenón Ruiz succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Youri Djorkaeff made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Youri Djorkaeff put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Alvino Galnares. Moïse Labruyère showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adulfo Teresa, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Alvino Galnares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillaume Minier in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Salud y República getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Rodrigo Dominguez hit a great ball. In the 69th minute of the match, Agamenón Ruiz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Moïse Labruyère was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 70 played minutes Salud y República got a freekick which was hit by Adulfo Teresa. Youri Djorkaeff was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 72nd minute, Youri Djorkaeff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, Avel Vat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillaume Minier to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Salud y República's Agamenón Ruiz got a free kick in the 75th minute. Adulfo Teresa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Moïse Labruyère made a huge save. In the 95th minute Agamenón Ruiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moïse Labruyère saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salud y República's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
