Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torsten Kock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Avel Vat's zone, Ingvar Granberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moïse Labruyère came out of the goal and Ingvar Granberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Avel Vat's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Kock came free, but Moïse Labruyère reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moïse Labruyère took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Alberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Grönberg to maneuver through the defense. Moïse Labruyère showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Granberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the last second Moïse Labruyère throw himself and got hold of the ball when Agne Widberg in the 58thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Degerfors IF's Agne Widberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moïse Labruyère. That made the score 1-1 after 63 minutes of play. Torsten Kock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bilal Moutte hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Avel Vat's Moïse Labruyère got control of the ball when Agne Widberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Agne Widberg came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Degerfors IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agne Widberg couldn't finish the play. If Youri Djorkaeff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Youri Djorkaeff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moïse Labruyère breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Degerfors IF players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Avel Vat from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
