If Benigno Roldanillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Enio Mangueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jardim América FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some careless play in the Poli Dream Team defense, Rafinha Pontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Matia. The Poli Dream Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Matia should have stopped the shot. Enio Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Matias Matia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafinha Pontes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matias Matia having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Poli Dream Team's Matias Matia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Pontes in the 53rd minute of play. Gonzalo Francis kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafinha Pontes in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Matia saved Poli Dream Team from getting behind. Gerardo Elixio got a throw-in 59 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Arnaldo Garin. When Gonzalo Francis fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poli Dream Team's protests and gave Gonzalo Francis a yellow card for diving instead.
