An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Funes Mori in the 42nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Marcelo Armani was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Tafalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 55 minute of play. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thomás Barral went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute Jeremias Stephen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Barral in the 77th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheng Qian Qiang made a great header on Rejunte de perros's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Rejunte de perros fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
