In the 9th match minute, Titanic of Belfast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Sharp to maneuver through the defense. Awa Pradnyana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Billy Clayton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Larry Bullock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Covarrubias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Paraguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Pardo went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Titanic of Belfast booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Diego Tenorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Titanic of Belfast's Awa Pradnyana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 48th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larry Bullock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Billy Clayton to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Titanic of Belfast got a freekick which was hit by Awa Pradnyana. 64 minutes in the game George Best did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Billy Clayton. If Billy Clayton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a free kick in the 71st minute. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jaime Pardo hit a great ball. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Awa Pradnyana in the 80th minute of the match. Hector Covarrubias's late challenge caught a Titanic of Belfast's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Covarrubias helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Hector Covarrubias. Tosh Moon hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. In the 95th minute Billy Clayton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Titanic of Belfast could leave the field as winners, despite Paraguay having more of the ball for most of the match.
