The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Hermanö Oilers's Elliot Majman got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5thth minute of the game Boguslaw Szkarpiak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermanö Oilers's Kenneth Forsberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kenneth Forsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Raszek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arne Bryngelsson got free with Wasyl Sidorowicz in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Hermanö Oilers booed when Karpaty Krosno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Pinczewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Sune Åberg in the 10th minute really tested Wasyl Sidorowicz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Hermanö Oilers booed when Karpaty Krosno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wladyslaw Pietras didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Sune Åberg from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Wasyl Sidorowicz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Karpaty Krosno's Wasyl Sidorowicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Karpaty Krosno from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes into the match, Karpaty Krosno's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Bank came free, but Wasyl Sidorowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wasyl Sidorowicz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Andreasson went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Raszek in the 29th minute of play forced Hermanö Oilers's goalkeeper Kenneth Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lars Åström fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hermanö Oilers's protests and gave Lars Åström a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Hermanö Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Lars Åström. In the 35th match minute, Hermanö Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sune Åberg to maneuver through the defense. After 38 minutes, Andrzej Filipowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karpaty Krosno and the Hermanö Oilers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lucas Andreasson hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hermanö Oilers booed when Karpaty Krosno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Prusek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Sune Åberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wasyl Sidorowicz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hermanö Oilers's Elliot Majman pulled a muscle in his leg after 47 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mikolaj Pinczewski during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hermanö Oilers made a substitution. Magnus Engström replaced Elliot Majman. A collision led to Karpaty Krosno getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Mikolaj Pinczewski hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wladyslaw Pietras during the 49th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 49 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Karpaty Krosno! Karpaty Krosno:s Wasyl Sidorowicz showed great skill when he stopped Sune Åberg:s penalty. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Wasyl Sidorowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Bryngelsson in the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Karpaty Krosno's zone, Arne Bryngelsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wasyl Sidorowicz came out of the goal and Arne Bryngelsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th minute Sune Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wasyl Sidorowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Peter Bank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karpaty Krosno's Wasyl Sidorowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Bryngelsson in the 71st minute of play. After 73 played minutes Hermanö Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Rickard Westerberg. Slawomir Sikola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Andrzej Filipowski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kenneth Forsberg. Andrzej Filipowski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Wasyl Sidorowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Bryngelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Lucas Andreasson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Hermanö Oilers getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Lars Åström hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Karpaty Krosno's Boguslaw Szkarpiak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kenneth Forsberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 87 played minutes Karpaty Krosno got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Tyszka. Wasyl Sidorowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Bryngelsson in the 90th minute of play. Magnus Engström hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 99th minute, Lars Åström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Karpaty Krosno eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
