Syd Barret started the match with the kick off. Diego Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gualter Rebelo kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Tasso FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Claudinei Nogueira scored to the left of an out of position Zeferino Távora, making the score, 1-0. Zeferino Távora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute Tasso FC were awarded a corner. Diego Mendonça went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Cremonese FC's Régis Koehler got a free kick in the 26th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Tasso FC's Diego Mendonça tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Syd Barret put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Natanael Alvarenga. The audience was convinced that Syd Barret's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natanael Alvarenga was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Syd Barret scored 1-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natanael Alvarenga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Syd Barret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natanael Alvarenga having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Cremonese FC's goal looked a bit too open when Syd Barret came free, but Natanael Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei Nogueira to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Marcos Cesário was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tasso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cremonese FC the free kick. Zeferino Távora didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinei Nogueira went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Bernardo de Amorim hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Syd Barret managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tasso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Syd Barret was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natanael Alvarenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Syd Barret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tasso FC's António Casado got a free kick in the 63rd minute. A hard shot 68 in the game by Syd Barret from a close distance when the talented Natanael Alvarenga managed to make a qualified save. Cremonese FC's players were relieved. Diego Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Syd Barret received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Natanael Alvarenga came out and tried to block the shot, but Syd Barret slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 81st minute. When António Casado fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tasso FC's protests and gave António Casado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, António Casado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 89 minutes, Syd Barret mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tasso FC and the Cremonese FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Régis Koehler struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Zeferino Távora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cremonese FC. The Cremonese FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tasso FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tasso FC.
