Kenneth Kvarnström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute Marcus Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9thth minute of the game Victor Piţurcă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Snett★inåt★bakåt's Kenneth Kvarnström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Emerald got a corner. Snett★inåt★bakåt's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Carioca ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Victor Piţurcă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emerald's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Piţurcă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenneth Kvarnström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Snett★inåt★bakåt's goalkeeper Kenneth Kvarnström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes in the game Yngve Haegg did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Staffan Ennegren. The throw-in from Yngve Haegg in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Emerald's Gabriel Vermeşan. In the 20th match minute, Snett★inåt★bakåt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhao Jing Jing to maneuver through the defense. Kenneth Kvarnström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mikael Jönsson kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Piţurcă in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kenneth Kvarnström saved Snett★inåt★bakåt from getting behind. In the 29th minute of the game Yngve Haegg made a throw-in which Staffan Ennegren played forward. Snett★inåt★bakåt's Kenneth Kvarnström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Snett★inåt★bakåt's goalkeeper Kenneth Kvarnström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 40 minutes, Valeriu Râmniceanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emerald and the Snett★inåt★bakåt players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Emerald getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Valeriu Râmniceanu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Emerald's Ioan Logofătu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 44thth minute of the game Fernando Carvalhal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Emerald's Bogdan Lobonț was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Piţurcă was the one to do the kick off. Yngve Haegg made in the 51st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Mikael Jönsson however managed to control. Victor Piţurcă scored 1-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenneth Kvarnström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Carvalhal in the 56th minute of play. Victor Piţurcă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kenneth Kvarnström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Piţurcă's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Victor Piţurcă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth Kvarnström. Snett★inåt★bakåt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Piţurcă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Kenneth Kvarnström came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Emerald's Victor Piţurcă. But to his dismay, Victor Piţurcă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0.
