Jonas Hellqvist started the match with the kick off. Fred Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Mattias Olofsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamburg City Vampires. Eugeniusz Tyski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjörn Brummer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugeniusz Tyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Hellqvist in the 14th minute of the match. Eugeniusz Tyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Hellqvist in the 16th minute of play. Fred Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Mendonça got free with Mattias Olofsson in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save StraX Xenon FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Mendonça in the 26th minute of play forced StraX Xenon FC's goalkeeper Mattias Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Fred Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Géza Rákosi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Olofsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Hellqvist in the 41st minute of play forced Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to StraX Xenon FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Sigvard Frykberg hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a little luck, Hamburg City Vampires's Eugeniusz Tyski got control of the ball when Jonas Hellqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reinhard Borkmann charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinhard Borkmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Reinhard Borkmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinhard Borkmann in the 66th minute of play. Eugeniusz Tyski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Brummer in the 69th minute of play. StraX Xenon FC made a substitution. Rikard Arhenius replaced Hugo Gernberg. Eugeniusz Tyski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joacim Andersson in the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Sigvard Frykberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ivica Lufen came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Hamburg City Vampires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivica Lufen couldn't finish the play. Rikard Arhenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugeniusz Tyski having to interfere. If Bum-Kun Kästle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Hamburg City Vampires's Orest Bubniv got a free kick in the 96th minute. After 98th play minutes Jonas Hellqvist shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Eugeniusz Tyski and just under the crossbar into goal. StraX Xenon FC played a much better game than Hamburg City Vampires and deserved their victory. The Hamburg City Vampires players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
