In the 4th minute, Roland Banaszak made a precise shot to the right of Dino Zoff. Ssc Napoli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Sylwester Bejrut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dino Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Siekierka in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, FC Saxon's goalkeeper Gustaw Lech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leigh Fearns. After 18 played minutes Ssc Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Des Bramble. Antoni Bubczyk scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dino Zoff, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dino Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Siekierka in the 23rd minute of play. When Spike Wardell fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ssc Napoli's protests and gave Spike Wardell a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Ssc Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Spike Wardell. A collision led to Ssc Napoli getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alfie Gol hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Karol Gendolla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Saxon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karol Gendolla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dino Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylwester Bejrut in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Sylwester Bejrut ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Zoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 34 minutes into the match, Tadeusz Siekierka notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Ssc Napoli's Dino Zoff. Dino Zoff was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dino Zoff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roland Banaszak went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. The supporters of FC Saxon booed when Ssc Napoli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Wiltshire didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ssc Napoli defense, Tadeusz Siekierka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dino Zoff. The Ssc Napoli fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dino Zoff should have stopped the shot. After the first half FC Saxon were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

54 minutes into the game, Roland Banaszak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Dino Zoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 56th minute, Sylwester Bejrut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Saxon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. The supporters of FC Saxon booed when Ssc Napoli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Wiltshire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tadeusz Siekierka received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dino Zoff came out and tried to block the shot, but Tadeusz Siekierka slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 65th minute. FC Saxon's Szczepan Niemoj was substituted for Gilbert Dziuma. Dino Zoff was a little too slow when Antoni Bubczyk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-11. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeusz Siekierka in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dino Zoff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 78 minutes, Tadeusz Siekierka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Saxon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeusz Siekierka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Saxon were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Ssc Napoli's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karol Gendolla took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Tadeusz Siekierka got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dino Zoff quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. FC Saxon's Karol Gendolla got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, Tadeusz Siekierka recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dino Zoff. Tadeusz Siekierka showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-12. Ssc Napoli's Dino Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Siekierka in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Siekierka in the 93rd minute of play forced Ssc Napoli's goalkeeper Dino Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Kryspin Pierz took a quick shot and it went in 0-13 without a chance for Dino Zoff to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, FC Saxon's Tadeusz Siekierka got a free kick in the 97th minute. FC Saxon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
