Fernando Selatse was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lino Rios showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Emiliano Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The AFC FUSION fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Eztebe should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Rios came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Selatse came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC FUSION's Kai Havertz. But to his dismay, Kai Havertz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Kees Harmsen hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Despidida AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dawid Beckham was slow to take the kick. During this time AFC FUSION's players had a chance to rest. After 97 minutes of play, Despidida AFC's Robert Percha made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto Eztebe was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Despidida AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Despidida AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
