The supporters of Inter Miami CF booed when Zorros del Desierto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Escerza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inter Miami CF's Alejo Botello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco-Antonio Figueroa in the 14th minute of play. Godfredo Egoitz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match Camilo Pino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejo Botello skillfully saved the ball. Inter Miami CF's Alejo Botello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco-Antonio Figueroa in the 32nd minute of play. Alejo Botello came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Zorros del Desierto's Rafael Basulto. But to his dismay, Rafael Basulto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Alejo Botello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco-Antonio Figueroa went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Alejo Botello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Basulto in the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco-Antonio Figueroa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Pino in the 51st minute of play forced Inter Miami CF's goalkeeper Alejo Botello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Egoitz hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alejo Botello came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Zorros del Desierto's Marco-Antonio Figueroa. But to his dismay, Marco-Antonio Figueroa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 65th minute Marco-Antonio Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Botello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inter Miami CF's Alejo Botello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zelipe Claro in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Zorros del Desierto getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Damián Fouillioux hit a great ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Zelipe Claro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter Miami CF's Alejo Botello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 76 minutes of play, Zorros del Desierto's Camilo Pino made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alejo Botello was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Damián Fouillioux notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Inter Miami CF's Alejo Botello. Alejo Botello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Marco-Antonio Figueroa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zorros del Desierto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Alejo Botello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luchito Fuentes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Egoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Marco-Antonio Figueroa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Alejo Botello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, Zelipe Claro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejo Botello. Inter Miami CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zelipe Claro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. 96 minutes into the game, Zorros del Desierto's Camilo Pino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejo Botello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0.
