An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Blai in the 27th minute of play forced Spor Las Huevas's goalkeeper Quirze Lizana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Brujas KV booed when Spor Las Huevas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Olalde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorato Ederono struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Quirze Lizana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brujas KV. Jan Ceulemans took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quirze Lizana. Quirze Lizana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Jan Ceulemans kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Honorato Ederono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quirze Lizana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Gogo Mascire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Spor Las Huevas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brujas KV the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Spor Las Huevas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Mascire to maneuver through the defense. Jan Ceulemans struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. The wind increased when Bernardino Blai made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Spor Las Huevas's Quirze Lizana got control of the ball when Jan Ceulemans tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Brujas KV's Honorato Ederono got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Raimundo Felo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Ceulemans charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Ceulemans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Brujas KV got a freekick which was hit by Jan Ceulemans. Kusko Domao was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 69 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes Spor Las Huevas got a freekick which was hit by Kusko Domao. In the 71st minute, Hans Vanacker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honorato Ederono could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Quirze Lizana made a huge save. Quirze Lizana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Ceulemans in the 81st minute of the match. Honorato Ederono struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Quirze Lizana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brujas KV. Quirze Lizana came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Brujas KV's Jan Ceulemans. But to his dismay, Jan Ceulemans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Dante Eleazar kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
