Donato Granja hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilberto Tavira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leopoldo Cerezo. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match, Gilberto Tavira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leopoldo Cerezo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Bellogin to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes 100 Chance got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Teixeira.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Everardo Bellogin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's supporters rose to their feet, but Everardo Bellogin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the 100 Chance defense, Gilberto Tavira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Cerezo. The 100 Chance fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Cerezo should have stopped the shot. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Isaac Figueiras was substituted for Silvano Ariztegui. Filipe Meneses sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Imperio Catatumbo de Lara booed when 100 Chance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ipar Estebanes was a little too slow when Filipe Meneses got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 3-2. Ipar Estebanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Paraíba in the 78th minute of play. Vicente Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vicente Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 100 Chance's Leopoldo Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitor Sarceada in the 81st minute of play. Ipar Estebanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Meneses, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Ipar Estebanes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 89th minute Dráuzio Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ipar Estebanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ipar Estebanes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Imperio Catatumbo de Lara from getting a goal against them. Gilberto Tavira got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Imperio Catatumbo de Lara getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Gilberto Tavira hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
