Jorge Gustau received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ipar Estebanes came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorge Gustau slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Silvano Ariztegui got a free kick in the 28th minute. The supporters of Imperio Catatumbo de Lara booed when Descamisados CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Raymond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Lawrence didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Padro Elano went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Nazario Monteserin got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Blas Francho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Descamisados CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Francho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ipar Estebanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denis Lawrence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Padro Elano in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitor Sarceada was the one to do the kick off. In the 86th of the match, Donato Granja tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Denis Lawrence got in the way and made a wonderful save. The supporters of Descamisados CF booed when Imperio Catatumbo de Lara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Labora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Descamisados CF's Gogo Ler got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Ricardo Bernard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Descamisados CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
