Cléber Vargas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulinho Moraes in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Rômulo Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Intendencia AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Agroboys SM - CIMZ the free kick. After 47 played minutes Intendencia AD got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Lima. Jardel Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléber Vargas having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulinho Moraes was the one to do the kick off. Carlinhos Branco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Intendencia AD's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 55 minutes, Marcinho Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Intendencia AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Intendencia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Correia came free, but Cléber Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valério Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Álvaro Gomes sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Intendencia AD getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Carlinhos Branco sped through Agroboys SM - CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valério Monteiro. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Intendencia AD eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
